Friendly Rubber Bridge

We are a flourishing section of the association and play friendly rubber bridge in pairs, using a 'table up' system. Partnerships can be prearranged, but pairs are often formed on arrival, in consultation with the responsible committee member.

Social Events

Currently we have  a Christmas lunch before bridge on the second Friday in December and a less formal summer lunch late in June or early July. The price for these is extremely modest, as they are organised by the committee

We have one or two weekends away for members, family or friends in the spring/autumn. These are not intensive bridge weekends. Formal play, with prizes, is organised after dinner only. but tables are available for play at all times

New Members

We welcome prospective new members, and advise that two years experience in bridge is desirable, as no former tuition is given. Those interested generally come as visitors in the first instance
