About Us

The New Haw and Woodham Community Association was formed in the 1947 and the Community Centre was opened in 1959. It is a  registered charity.

The Association is run by a General Committee and an Executive Committee who manage the day to day affairs of the Association. The Executive Committee reports all items relating to the running of the centre to the general committee at the appropriate meetings.

The sections report to both the Executive and General Committees on their affairs, they support the running of the centre by annual membership subscriptions and by organising fund raising events especially for the Association.

All other monies come from private hire, i.e. weddings, aerobics, children's parties, dog shows, flowers shows etc.

The General Committee is made up of the Secretary or Chairman of each of the sections and affiliated groups.
    The Executive Committee members are all volunteers who give a great deal of their time to ensure that the Centre is well maintained and running smoothly.

Membership of the Association is £2.00 per person per annum, affiliated organisations are £10.00 per annum. Application form are available from the foyer of the centre or the Membership Secretary
